What we do

Carlton Brick is an independent Yorkshire clay brick factory with an impeccable pedigree. Based in Grimethorpe, South Yorks, the brickworks is proud to be celebrating its 123rd birthday this year. The brickworks employs 70 people and now has 60 different product types, nearly one product per employee.

The factory benefits from its own clay pit on site. Excavation of the quarry is carefully managed to ensure a mix of exactly the right blends of clay for making consistent quality Red, Buff and Brown facing bricks.
